The land here, the result of the Langhe's sedimentary origins, lacks a solid rocky base and has extremely crumbly soil, thus landslides are a common occurrence after heavy rains.

Our old vines, growing naturally here amongst small wooded groves, demonstrate that in spite of the spread of modern viticulture they can still successfully compete with younger vines in terms of age and exposition, transmitting highly typical characteristics to their grapes.
